Commitment to Accessibility and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Tandem Telehealth is dedicated to ensuring full and equal access to all of our telehealth services for individuals with disabilities. In line with the ADA, we actively work to identify and eliminate barriers that may limit access to care. We provide reasonable modifications and effective communication tools so that all patients—regardless of ability—can access our services in a dignified, independent, and meaningful way.

We offer, free of charge:

• Qualified sign language interpreters

• Written information in accessible formats such as large print, audio, accessible electronic formats, or other alternatives upon request

These accommodations are available to ensure individuals with impaired sensory, manual, or speaking skills can communicate effectively with our staff and clinicians.

Language Access Services

Tandem Telehealth currently offers services in both English and Spanish, with the goal of ensuring language is never a barrier to care. We provide:

• Qualified interpreters

• Written documents in Spanish

• Translated resources for commonly used forms and instructions

If your primary language is not English and you need language assistance, we will work to accommodate your needs to the best of our ability.

Staff Training, Policies, and Ongoing Compliance

To uphold our commitment to nondiscrimination and accessibility:

• All Tandem Telehealth staff—both clinical and administrative—undergo regular training on nondiscrimination laws, cultural competence, and how to provide accommodations.

• Clear internal policies and procedures guide staff in handling accommodation requests, interpretive services, and any related concerns or complaints.

• This notice is published on our website and regularly reviewed for accuracy and compliance.

• Audits and feedback loops are part of our quality assurance process to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and standards.

Reporting Discrimination, Accessibility Issues, or Requesting Help

If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination, denied accommodations, or otherwise treated unfairly based on any of the protected categories listed above, we encourage you to report your concerns. We take all complaints seriously and have a formal, structured grievance process in place.
